This weekend, Columbus celebrated the 10th and final year of the Independents’ Day festival. Festivities included local and national music acts, more than a dozen food vendors, and showcases of local art. Adam Brouillette, festival co-founder, hinted at the possibility of Independents’ Day coming back in other forms in the years to come, such as in one of a kind, once-only performances and art pieces that span several neighborhoods and express different themes and disciplines. That idea is still in development, as the festival’s coordinators focused on putting on a memorable and final Independents’ Day.
