Photography Contest for Hocking Hills

By: Cedarfalls

Hocking Hills State Park is hosting their annual Shoot the Hills photography contest on April 18, 19 & 20. The event is a unique 24-hour photography competition encompassing four Ohio counties: Hocking, Athens, Fairfield, and Vinton. The contest is open to all ages, but participants must supply their own digital cameras, media cards and computers to use. All activities are open to the public free of charge, although a $35 registration fee (or $30 for pre-registration) is required to enter the contest. The weekend also includes vendors, photography programs, special speakers, nature hikes, plus a unique photo opportunity with birds of prey by the Hocking Hills State Park Naturalist. Prizes will include $1000 cash, distributed between the Grand Prize winners and the winner of the coveted Photographers Choice Award. If you decide to go, visit Dine Originals Member Restaurant The Inn & Spa At Cedar Falls.
