Lennox Flats is on schedule to complete its second phase by July of this year. The apartment complex, which sits just south of Kinnear Road across the railroad tracks from Lennox Town Center, features compact units ranging from 450 to 800 square feet.

Local developer Klingbeil Capital Management completed the first phase of apartments last summer. The 102 new units will bring the total for the complex to 194 apartments – 170 of them one-bedrooms, with just 24 two-bedroom units.

Property manager Kati Blackburn says that they began pre-leasing in February and have been pleased with the response so far.

“Things have especially picked up in the past few weeks, and the two-bedrooms are going quick. People really seem to love the location and the newness of the community.”

Marketing materials have emphasized the location’s high walk score, and the developer has worked with Clinton Township to install sidewalks along Kinnear (which extend to the railroad tracks) to improve pedestrian access to the shops, restaurants and movie theater next door .
