Downtown setting dressed for a nonstop outdoor party

Park Street Patio on a weekend night is like a neighbor’s annual backyard blowout — the kind either you were either lucky enough to be invited to or you dismissed as overindulgent because you weren’t.
The booze flows, an innocuous cover band plays, and tiki torches make even the palest of friends look tan.
The major difference — and this is where the new kid on the Park Street block comes up huge — is that you won’t be asked to help return the kegs come morning.
Since it opened last month, Park Street Patio has delivered what its name implies: a mostly young and well-groomed crowd cavorting on a football-field-sized patio.
There’s room for a stage, a large bamboo-dressed bar, an outdoor grill and plenty of chairs, stools and picnic tables where Arena District travelers can rest their weary or wobbly legs.

probably my favorite bar on park street
ehhh. nothing new, nothing different, will be gone in two years.
C&G are pretty committed to their Park Street projects, so I’m not so sure I agree with this. I think unlike Red Zone or Long Street, these guys will adapt Sugar/Spice/PSP as needed rather than unload them (already happening with Sugar).
More importantly, I like PSP and between those 3 spots it’s a pretty wide variety which is what’s needed.
I was impressed with PSP, food wasn’t anything special, but those misting fans were pretty awesome when it was blazing hot out and the setup is really spot on, I also am glad someone decided it was okay to open a casual bar without nailing knickknacks to all the walls.
In general the variety of park street has really made it into a great spot no matter what you in the mood for, well almost no matter what, if you include all the arena places you can hit quite a variety without having to go far at all. Hopefully they can evolve the places to keep it going rather than turn into long street.
i went and checked out this bar for the first time last night and i have to say i was pretty impress. the crowd was very cool and the service was not bad at all with the staff. i’ll be going back to see how the happy hour crowd is since i got to see what the night crowd vibe was which was pretty good.
