Panera to Open Location in New Children’s Hospital Building

Shortly after employees begin moving into the new Nationwide Children’s Hospital Faculty Office Building this summer, they’ll soon get a new place nearby to grab meals and coffee. The first retail tenant has been announced for the ground floor of the building: a Panera Bread location, owned by local franchise operator Covelli Enterprises.

“The Panera Bread will be our second location in a major medical center, as we opened at the OSU Medical Center in February,” said Liz Fiorino, Central Ohio Regional Marketing Director for Covelli. “This new location came about because of our philanthropic support of the hospital.”

Last year, Covelli donated over $55,000 to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The new Panera location is expected to open sometime this fall. The six-story office building is located at the southeast intersection of Livingston Avenue and Parsons Avenue, adding 150,000 square feet of office and retail space to the hospital’s campus.
