Painter leaves mark on personalized shoes

In an ideal world, Lauren Luna would be making a comfortable living off the oil paintings she so passionately produces. For now, though, she is banking on a different canvas: shoes.

“I do this because I could see this as happening faster than dying, having 50,000 works of art in my basement and then becoming famous,” said the 31-year-old Columbus resident, who teaches special education in the Columbus schools.
