    Own a Piece of History: Zettler Hardware Auction Takes Place This Weekend

    Nearly five years after it closed its doors, the historic Zettler Hardware building in Downtown Columbus has begun to clear out. The owners have begun the first phase of auctioning off its leftover wares, shelving, fixtures and equipment in an online auction that begins this weekend. The auction includes items from the Goodale Pro Hardware location that closed last month.

    “Items available include an Antique National Cash Register, Frick Gallagher Antique Revolving Hardware Bin with Attached Spring Scale, Antique Case Knife Wood Floor Display, Antique Tap & Die Counter Display, Antique Rolling Platform Scale, Great Antique Advertising Signs, Vintage Lard Buckets (used for seeds), Display Racks and Gondola Shelving,” wrote the company in the official auction listing.

    The online bidding process runs until 7:00PM on Saturday, June 3rd. Winning bids will need to be picked up from the store’s location on Sunday, June 4th between 10am and 2pm. Additional items will continue to be auctioned off in phases throughout June.
