If you need a ride somewhere, you order an Uber from your phone. And if you need a massage, soon you can do the same.
Los Angeles-based massage company Soothe is launching in Columbus on October 13th, bringing on-demand services delivered to your home. The company’s app connects customers with licensed massage therapists that work for fixed fees with no tips required.
Since launching in 2013, the company has expanded rapidly with availability in 44 cities across the US, UK and Canada, with over 6,500 massage therapists in its pool.
“Our growth is really due to the experience our massage therapists deliver,” says Soothe founder and CEO Merlin Kauffman. “They provide spa-quality treatments without the hassle of finding parking or dealing with traffic. In addition, our massage therapists earn three to four times more than the industry standard.”
Pricing for massages is set at $99 for 60 minutes, $139 for 90 minutes and $169 for 120 minutes with tips built into the pricing. Massage options include deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and prenatal massages. Services can only be booked between 8am and midnight.
