The old Cherry’s Art Center at 59 East Spring closed its doors in 2012, leaving a lonely stretch of emptiness between High and Third Streets Downtown. Next month, the building will once again be home to creative use, when Old Machine — a local film production company — relocates there from Italian Village.
The historic building has received a renovation in between uses by The Day Companies, which began back in 2013. Owner Ricky Day told Columbus Underground in an interview that the unique space might be ideal for office use due to the long-and-thin layout of the building.
