The Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association (OEFFA) conference will be held February 13 – 14, 2009 in Granville Ohio, a short 30 minute drive from downtown Columbus.
Joel Salatin, owner of Polyface Farms and Ann Cooper aka Renegade Lunch Lady are providing keynote addresses on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Both are national names in the food world for their creative and no holds barred approach to redefining the way Americans eat.
Four workshop sessions and an exhibit hall are also slated. (In the interest of full disclosure, I am leading a workshop on Urban Edible Gardening from 10:35 – 11:30 AM on Saturday.) Farmers, gardeners, chefs, and consumers interested in sustainable agriculture will all find engaging workshops and community.
The conference website is rich with details including online registration. Full registration is $90/130 (member/nonmember); a single day is $65/90. A limited number of volunteer scholarships reduce the rate to $50.
More information can be found online at oeffa.org/conference2010.php.

The food at this event is going to be incredible.
