Well, I was riding behind SCG earlier when I stumbled upon a new organic grocer that has just opened in the brick commercial strip of 1644 N High that sits along Chittenden across from Eddie George’s.
Oatganic Organic and Natural Grocer!
They opened within the month and only half the shelves were full so my report is lacking. The place carries fresh produce, frozen goods, bulk goods, and other things. It is pretty small, but very fresh and pleasant inside.
They had the new hit: Snowville Milk, and at the same price as elsewhere.
I bought a pound of wheat flour to make pasta tonight for my girlfriend. It was a little high priced.
Well, this might be the answer to Sunflower closing, but at 1/10 the size and 1/10 the items. But I am glad its there.
So give it a try.

Got some adzuki beans from there the other day. Very good in a collard green tomatillo salad.
Super Good! As was the whole wheat pasta. I am psyched to check this place out. I hope they make it so I can regularly pop in there when I go back to classes.
I went by after work yesterday. Not a huge selection, but if it’s this close, it’s hard to quibble. I should have asked about eggs and coffee. Those were what I went to Sunflower for most often. Well, those items and beer.

Yeah, that place is certainly a work in progress as the shelves are 1/4 full and there is just a lot of emptyness. That’s probably a cautious approach for such a small perhaps risky business.
It does look like they will have a coffee bar in there with that empty stainless steel table in there.
Went there twice this week. Their bulk section is up and going with lots of rice, nuts, and some beans and fruit. I think the bean selection could be improved. They also have more fruits and veggies.
i’ll have to check this out. a little further than whole foods, but i would love to help out an independent business and i’ve been trying to eat organic/vegan as much as possible.

This place parades around with the facade of an organic grocery store. I went in there the other day and asked if their apples had worms in them. The lady up front assured me that there were no worms in the apples! Can you beleive this?! I was shocked that all their apples had gone through the toxic artificial worm removal process. Made famous by traditional mainstream grocery stores. I stormed out and vowed to never return.

I don’t know. You see, at first I thought it was your right wing counterpart. I’ll need to see if “cyclist and ________” are ever on at the same time I guess. So I’m leaning back on that again since your the first post after that. It’s one of you. I’ll get to the bottom of this.

I would also like to comment that we have a wide range of fresh juices including: Wheatgrass shots, All Green Juices and smoothies and a Great Salad Bar.
