The North Market’s popular Artisan Sunday events are undergoing an evolution this year through a new collaboration with the Columbus Flea event producers. Every Sunday from June 8 to October 26 will be host to a pop-up artisan flea market on the outdoor Farmers’ Market Pavilion area.
Similar to Artisan Sundays, the event will continue to host a variety of local artists and artisans who sell everything from jewelry to crafts to vintage items to hand-made furniture.
“The idea is to create an even more vibrant atmosphere that is always changing and most of all, best in class,” said North Market Executive Director Rick Harrison Wolfe. “One Sunday you may find someone selling vintage LP’s and the following week you see someone blowing glass. Market Flea will be the Sunday Funday spot for Central Ohio.”
The original Columbus Flea series was launched in 2010 by Nikki Portman and has featured a diverse mix of vendors during their quarterly events. Those events will continue, the next one taking place on Sunday, May 4th at Seventh Son.
“Nikki is a best- in-class creative and has captured the essence of what makes a curated flea market cool and most of all fun,” added Wolfe. “We cannot wait for Flea to begin.”
Vendor applications are now being accepted through May 7th.
