North Market Seeking Public Mural Artists

The North Market announced last week that it will soon be adding some new public art installations, and that the creator of those installations could be you! The organization has partnered with the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) to solicit proposals for three murals to be hung inside the historic Downtown building.

The theme of the project revolves around “Columbus Public Market History”, specifically paying homage to North Market as well as the long-shuttered Central Market, East Market or West Market. The murals will measure 7’4″ by 25″. Any professional artists living in Franklin County are welcome to apply for the project, no later than August 3rd at 5pm. Three proposals will be selected for commission, and artists will receive a $665 stipend.
