There’s a new club that opened up in town called Q. It’s primarily a gay/lesbian bar…… But it’s a really nice spot, that is friendly to everyone. A big mix of people have been in there. They have their grand opening officially on Friday the 17th. Miss Bella from the Alive Paper will be there doing a Meltdown. It’s going to be catered as well. They have djs there 7 nights a week, and they even do a Tea Dance on Sundays from 4-9pm. It’s 21 & up, no cover ever. Typical music in there, tribal, progressive, circuit house. I even throw in some techno and pop remixes. Anyone who’s familiar with circuit house, probably knows the name Michael Diamond. He’s a big billboard remixer. He’s there on Sat nights, flown in every Sat from NYC.
It’s a really nice spot. it’s 2 doors down from Cove. The addy is 205 N. 5th Street. It’s on the corner of 5th and Spring. I dj there on Wed & Sun nights. Doing Tribal mostly and some anthemic house music. I’m still looking for a light jock for Sun nights, if anyone is interested. I’m willing to train if you’d like to learn, and get paid and get a small bar tab too. Good opportunity to get your foot in the door. The staff is super friendly, the drinks are beyond reasonable. And, if anyone would like to perhaps do a little house tagging with me, come up and see me on Wed night. I’ll let ya play a little bit :)

jus’ wonderin….i was talking to him the other day, he mentioned his “tea party” after hours (which is actually the next day of the party) for his big event tomorrow night at millineum…
i thought he mentioned that “q” place too….

actually yea… Tony is doing the Heart 2 Heart party. God, is that already this weekend?? jesus, time flies! Yea Tony is doing it on Sunday @ 4pm. I start playing on Sunday’s at 9, so that party will mostly be over. There’s a lot of people coming from Indy & Pittsburgh. They plan to carry over Sat night’s festivities into Sunday, but i’m sure most will be gone by then. You’ll have to come down some time and check the place out!

Anyone who wants to check this out, tonight is their grand opening party. It’s going to be catered starting at 6. Lasagne and other stuff. Free to get in. House music all night as well. Friendly staff, cheap drinks and happy hour til 9.
For anyone who’s like to read the Meltdown in this week’s Alive Paper, they did a review of Q. Tina did a very nice job on it. Always up to have some of you drop some choons if you’re in the mood on a Wed or Sun night. Get a hold of me to discuss some details :)
oh and btw… Wed night is now Ladies night. $2 bud bottles and $3 absolut drinks all night for everyone. Not just ladies :)

just have to say, if you haven’t been in yet, u should. tonight was amazing, they had the after party for that Bombay Dreams (?) play that was here all weekend. the bar was packed, and was a blast. If there are any other funky/disco/circuit house djs on here who read this, who’d like to play on perhaps the dopest system in town, lemme know. i’d love to tag with ya there on a wed or sun nite!! just pm me. Walker, i know ya said you’d come up sometime, extending the offer to come play there! :)
