Nida’s Sushi, owned and operated by Nida Perry, has been a longtime favorite at the North Market. Her fresh take on classic sushi offers guests the chance to try something they may not have before, in an environment willing to teach what they don’t know.
Nida’s will continue this tradition in their new spot in the Market, which is already open for business. Nida’s Sushi moves north in the new floor plan for Columbus’ last public farmers market, just south of Kitchen Little and adjacent to Hubert’s Polish Kitchen.
The new space is actually a little smaller than Nida’s previous spot, but will still seat 5, and because the new layout is open, it will seem larger to customers, who will now be able to more comfortably belly up to the sushi bar.
What’s also new at Nida’s Sushi is the addition of heat. Gas lines are currently being installed, and when completed, Perry will add another 7 to 10 items to the existing lineup. Some of those include traditional Thai dishes like Thai Fried Rice, Tom Yum Soup, Pad Tai.
Nida’s has always been concerned with bringing Thai cuisine to the masses, and with this move, they gets that much closer.
“We want to educate some people who have no knowledge about sushi and Thai food,” shares Perry about the benefit of this move. “It is a place for first time customers to get experience in another cuisine, as well as for shoppers to have variety in ethnicity and convenience to choose from.”
