“Columbus Underground has always followed developments closely and the Urban Living Tour will give our readers a chance to tour places in a casual and fun environment,” says Walker Evans, co-founder of CU. “It will be a great way for our readers to experience the stories we tell every day.”

The Urban Living Tour will feature new residential properties at various stages of development. Some have been completed and will have fully furnished model units on display. Others are still under construction and will be offering hard hat tours of their raw, unfinished spaces.

Residential tour stops announced today include Grant Commons, The Julian, The Normandy at Neighborhood Launch, The Dennison (formerly Leafydale), Crawford Hoying, Flats on Vine, Flats II, The Keystone at Grandview Yard, Highpoint on Columbus Commons, and JDS Companies. Look for additional tour stops to be announced in the coming weeks prior to the July 27th Tour event.

Lifestyle and restaurant businesses will be additional stops on the tour, offering introductory information, discounts, and specials during the event. Stops announced today include Denmark on High, The Hills Market Downtown, the Art of Yoga Downtown studio, and Global Gifts in The Short North. Look for additional lifestyle and restaurant stops to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Going on open houses was something Walker and I always enjoyed, and still often do,” says Anne Evans, co-founder of CU. “We’re excited to offer an event to get people into these spaces and check out what’s happening in Columbus.”

Attendees on the Urban Living Tour who check in at multiple locations during the tour and get their map/passport stamped will be eligible to enter a grand prize package worth over $1,000 at the end of the tour.

Tickets to the tour are $15 in advance, or $20 day-of at the door. 10% of all ticket sales will be donated to Faith Mission and their programs to help the homeless and others in need. Tickets are limited, and the tour is anticipated to sell out.
