New Public Artwork Installed in Downtown Alley

The installation of public art in Downtown Columbus has been on a roll in 2012 thanks to the Finding Time project, which includes temporary pieces such as Plein Air, the Bicentennial Towers and Columbus Never….

The newest addition to the series is titled “Buckle”, created by local artist Candace Black. The work is a three dimensional piece that draws inspiration from architectural detail of nearby buildings, but presents a shape that appears organic and deteriorated, as if a piece of the building has somehow melted.

“Buckle” can be found in the Lynn Street alleyway between High and Third Streets in Downtown Columbus and will be on display through December.
