The Columbus Clippers take to the field at 4pm this afternoon for the opening home game at the brand new Huntington Park stadium in the Arena District. A parade at 1:15pm will proceed the game, as will plenty of beer and hot dog consumption at many of the nearby bars and restaurants in the area.
New Stadium. New MLB affiliation with the Cleveland Indians. New uniforms and logos. Win or lose, the Clippers are lined up for a solid season of baseball.

I was there today and it was hard to enjoy since it seemed most people where there just to say they went.
I’ll have to go back on a Tuesday/Wednesday night to get a better feel for the ballpark.
yup. a ball park is a nice thing to have in the neighborhood. too bad for Franklinton to lose this. of course the county is going to reinvest in Franklinton? right? well they said they would anyway…
