Mouton Opening in the Short North on June 1st

The papers are off the windows at 954 North High Street, and Mouton will be opening their doors to the public next Tuesday, June 1st. We spoke with proprietor Yusef Riazi back in November when he first unveiled the concept with us, and despite some delays in opening, says that the result will still be the same.

“The concept hasn’t changed since the inception,” explained Yusef. “We’re still focusing on cured meats, beautiful breads and domestic cheese. The core focus of the wine list is still French, but there there will be a smattering of other countries to include Italy, Germany and Austria.”

Some expanded menu items such as soups and salads may come at a later date, but the inclusion of both espresso and cocktails will give customers a reason to stop by during different periods throughout the day.

“Our roaster of coffee beans has turned out to be Brioso, and our milk will be from Snowville,” said Yusef. “Our cocktails are all vintage, so we won’t have a soda gun, and we’ll be using premium quality mixers to go with these cocktails.”

Following next Tuesday’s Grand Opening, regular hours will start out with Tue and Wed 8am-10pm, Thur through Sat 8am-2:30am, Sunday 8am-3pm, and closed on Mondays, but may change to reflect community demand.
