MoJoe Lounge Closing Easton Location, Refreshing Other Stores

After 10 years of keeping shoppers caffeinated, the Easton Cup O Joe / MoJoe Lounge will be closing their doors on Sunday at 6pm. Employees will be offered positions at other Cup O Joe locations.

“Our lease was up and the dynamics at Easton have changed,” explains Cup O Joe President Mark Swanson. “The smoking ban affected our business, then Shadowbox left, and then the AMC opened their own bar and coffee shop. We had a good run, I don’t blame Easton, and I’m not complaining… those things just change.”

Swanson sees the closure as a positive shift for the business, as it will allow them to focus on refreshing their seven other locations. He says that they’ll start with the Bexley and Clintonville stores, which will get a fresh coat of paint, some maintenance and other updates.

Additionally, the Downtown MoJoe Lounge at 149 South High Street will be expanding hours soon, with half off bottles of wine and featured small plates on Wednesday nights.

“As more residents move in at Highpoint across the street and the weather starts to break, we plan to be open seven days a week with a dinner menu and late night hours Wednesday through Sunday,” says Swanson. “Maybe sometime in around early March.”
