    Mayor Coleman to Join Law Firm Ice Miller in 2016

    After 16 years serving as the Mayor of the City of Columbus, Michael B. Coleman announced today that he will be joining the local offices of Indianapolis-based law firm Ice Miller. Coleman will complete his term as Mayor at the end of the year, and will join Ice Miller as the Director of Business and Government Strategies on January 1.

    “Michael Coleman is a national figure who has transformed a city through partnerships between business and government during 16 years as mayor of Columbus,” stated Ice Miller Managing Partner Richard Barnhart in a release issued today. “We are proud and fortunate to have him join Ice Miller after his historic tenure as mayor.”

    Coleman will also serve as a partner and member of Ice Miller’s Public Affairs and Government Law Groups. The company’s local offices are based at 250 West Street in the Arena District.

    “I am excited to be returning home to a firm I know, with many friends and former colleagues, as I begin this next chapter of my career,” said Coleman. “With that said, Ice Miller has grown exponentially since I was there, now giving me a national platform to create strategies where business and government intersect.
