Two Ohio experiences are coming together this summer, when Cleveland-born Melt Bar & Grilled plans to open its ninth location at Cedar Point.

“We see visiting Melt like riding a roller coaster,” said Matt Fish, owner and founder, in a press release. “There’s a lot of anticipation; then the thrill, and as soon as it’s over, you want to go again.”

More than a decade after their first location opened, this new location will occupy the space previously inhabited by Joe Cool Café, near Planet Snoopy. Along with their regular menu, Cedar Point Melt will offer an exclusive item, the Firecracker Chicken, which combines spicy chicken, grilled pineapple, avocado, and pepper jack cheese, and is topped with cheddar cheese sauce and bacon crumble.

They’ll also be the only place in the amusement park to get liquor. Their full bar will serve craft beer, a select wine list, and theme cocktails based on Cedar Point rides and attractions.

“Melt Bar & Grilled is a lot like Cedar Point,” said Tony Clark, Director of Communications for Cedar Point, in the release. “Melt has a huge number of fans who have been known to drive hours for the experience, just like ours do. This is going to be a terrific partnership… and a great ride!”

Melt will open at Cedar Point on Memorial Day weekend.
