Columbus Underground Features & Entertainment Writer Jenna Taylor set off this weekend with a mission: to participate in as many events as possible from the Memorial Day edition of our MegaWeekend list of things to do. She also documented the process live in a social media takeover that spanned CU’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels. The result? She managed to cross 18 items off the list in a span of around 48 hours.
“This weekend was an eye opening experience for me… it just goes to show that there’s plenty to do Columbus if one is open to new experiences,” said Taylor. “From watching traditional Hindu dances at the Asian fest to trying cheeses with names that I could barely pronounce at The Pearl Market, only made me appreciate the beautiful city Columbus has grown into.”
Taylor’s MegaWeekend adventures also included taking in an exhibition at the Cultural Arts Center, touring the city by bus with the Columbus Historical Society, checking out the annual Salmon Roast at The Hills Market, taking in a sunset ballgame at Huntington Park, ending one night with drinks at Gallerie Bar & Bistro and more.
