    Mega Winter Weekend 2014 – Vol. 2

    Wednesday – New Year’s Eve
    It’s the final day for you to see Transfigurations at the Wexner Center. Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Wild. You really have the go of it tonight, whatever you’d like to do, there’s probably an event that will match your interest. 16-Bit Bar+Arcade brings back their Chuck Norris NYE Party. Rock in the new year with the music of teamtim at Little Rock Bar. Go family friendly at COSI during First Night Columbus. The Crest has a TapTakover with Three Floyds. Balanced Yoga offers a mixed level Vinyasa Flow yoga class. Gallerie, The Refectory, Milestone229Hubbard GrilleThe Chintz Room, Explorer’s Club, Rishi Sushi, Strongwater, Trattoria Roma, and more have special dinner menus. Go to a bowling party at Star Lanes Polaris. The Short North Pint House kicks off the new year with a free champagne toast. Alrosa Villa has a NYE bash with Bobaflex and more. It’s a Crizzly NYE at the Bluestone. Ring in the new year at Land Grant with Nick D’ and the Believers, or at Woodlands Tavern with the Spikedivers. Dance at Axis or Diesel Club. Go for fancy at the Hyatt Regency’s party. Or to the Sheraton for NYE OHIO, the biggest NYE party in the area featuring a black and white masquerade ball. Brothers Drake features Angela Perly and the Howling Moons. Shadowbox Live has their annual extravaganza. Party at Gresso’s Bar. Camelot Cellars hosts a Costume Masquerade Ball with a Circus Burlesque theme. Envelope’s New Years Eve Party w/ Operators and Neon Angels is at Ace of Cups. Short North Stage brings you a fun and nostalgic evening with Valerie & David–The Impossible Possibilities. Have a blast on the entire strip of Park Street. Skully’s has a special NYE edition of DJ Chuckster. Party at A & R Music Bar for NYE 2015 MASQUERAGE feat. Antiserum x Vice Versa x Gateway. Spacebar has Damn the Witch Siren and more for a free party.

    Thursday
    Enjoy a nice day off. Later on, find yourself somewhere to watch OSU take on Alabama in the Sugar Bowl for a chance at the National Title. Do the First on the First 5K. Another yoga event at Balanced Yoga.

    Friday
    It’s the last weekend to see Wildlights. Celebrate the New Year with a drug-free event at the Lincoln Theater. Holiday Hoopla continues at Shadowbox Live. Monster Jam monster trucks are at Nationwide Arena. Cassie and Cabot Rae have a father-daughter sing-off at Short North Stage. J-Pop returns to The Summit. Bad Movie Nite brings Nuclear Dynamite to Studio 35.

    Saturday
    WOSU is throwing a roaring twenties speakeasy for the season premiere of Downtown Abbey at the Ohio Theatre. Enjoy a talk about the history of the Kahiki at the Ohio History Center. Go on the first Winter Hike of the Metro Parks annual series, the kick off is in Blacklick Woods Metro Park. The Columbus Winter Farmers Market returns to Whetstone Community Center. The Columbus Bride Show returns, it will be at the Convention Center. Join Studio 35 for Cinema Classics, showing Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Get Right returns to Skully’s. It’s the first Gallery Hop of 2015.

    Sunday
    Head to the fairgrounds Ohio Expo Center for the Columbus Paper, Postcard, and Book Show. It’s the last day to see the Huntington Holiday Train at the Main Library. It’s also the final day for Merry & Bright at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Enjoy the exhibitions at the Columbus Museum of Art. Tacocat has Woman as ____. See Scrooge at Shadowbox Live. Tune in for the season premiere of Downton Abbey, or head to the Gateway Film Center to see it on the big screen.
