    Thursday
    The Great Placemakers Lab is in town to discuss how to make neighborhoods great and there’s a special session on schools. Bad Jews continues with JCC Gallery Players. Available Light Theatre continues performances of Dirty Math. Sculpture artist Erick Swenson comes to CCAD to talk about his latest show. The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley begins at the Columbus Childrens’ Theatre. Rife’s Market announced they will be closing soon. The Main Library hosts a panel to discuss the preservation of African American Landmarks. Easton hosts a fashion night. If you have a kid in Columbus City Schools, grade K-3, you may want to attend a meeting at East High School about the 3rd Grade Reading Guarantee. Check out these musical acts. HighBall is looking for models. LC Pavilion has Power Fest. Burlesque Biographie continues at Shadowbox Live. Have you stopped in the new Spacebar? Jazz Arts Group brings Mary Wilson of The Supremes to the Lincoln Theatre for Motown Medley, Friday and Saturday. The time that many wait all year for – Independents’ Day has arrived. Celebrate for three days in Franklinton. Ace of Cups hosts a Feminist Rock Concert. What bands are you looking forward to seeing this year? There’s also lots of new great things happening this year – shipping container retail and restaurant spaces, Battle of the Pig, Piñata Thunderdome, Mini-Golf, Comedy, Street Food, Comic Books, Fashion Shows, and lots more! Damn Girl is at Strongwater. The Indianola Stroll takes place in Clintonville. Go to a comedy show at Strange Loop Records in Grandview. Freak Show continues at Shadowbox Live. The Main Event at Capital University in Bexley had an outdoor movie. Old school rally Scoot-A-Que kicks off for the weekend. CS Gallery hosts a not for sale show, with pieces from those who live in Olde Towne East. Check out the new Land Grant Brewing.

    The Crest hosts a Kids Day. Big street game Rougarou, Journey to the End of the Night is beginning near OSU. WCBE has a yard sale. Finds on Fifth, a new event in 5XNW kicks off. Zauber Brewing hosts an Oktoberfest. Too Darn Loud is at Little Rock Bar. O-GEE is the Independents Day after party at Strongwater. Do the High 5 5K run. Cristo Rey High School has a Garden Party fundraising event. Columbus Historical Society has a bus tour and you can learn all kinds of secrets about Columbus. Nite Owl Theatre presents Little Shop of Horrors at Studio 35. Attend a fundraiser for Autism. Columbus Crew battles the New England Revolution. The LC has The Big Block Party. Columbus Dance Theatre presents Rock Out at Columbus Commons. OSU’s Sullivant Hall reopens and everyone is invited to check it out. 580 Antiques has a sale featuring local artists. The Green Lawn Abbey is hosting a Steampunk Rescue and Style Show. Jack Hanna’s Fall Fest begins at the Columbus Zoo. Do a 5K for K9s at Alum Creek. Get tickets for the preview party and preview tour for the Short North Tour of Homes. Go through Lynd’s corn maze. Go on a bike ride and see the city’s art and history. The original Oktoberfest returns to Germania.

    Sunday
    Go on the Short North Tour of Homes, the Dennison will be open and it’s looking beautiful! Check out the Africa Roots & Culture Fest presenting Youssou N’Dour at the LC. Celebrate 25 years with the Wexner Center with their special new exhibit Transfigurations: Modern Masters from the Wexner Family Collection. It’s the last day for you to see the Blooms & Butterflies at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Harrison West Jazz Stage presents Maggie Green. Market Flea continues at North Market. Rich Street closes for Open Streets. The last Frank Fetch Park Concert of the season is Sunday. The Puffin Collaborative Film Festival kicks off at the Gateway Film Center. Whole Foods UA has a sidewalk sale to benefit Whole Kids Foundation. Raise funds for dogs and cats. The New Albany Classic returns. There’s a walking tour of Green Lawn Cemetery. Studio 35 hosts a beer tasting and a movie featuring Strange Brew.
