    Take a look at a new perspective on advertising and design from CCAD. Smallpools plays the Newport, Atmosphere is at the LC, and I PREVAIL is at the Basement. Sister Act is in town at the Ohio Theatre. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast begins at the Lincoln Theatre. Green Day’s American Idiot has its final weekend at Shadowbox Live. Visit the Columbus Museum of Art for Thurber House Evenings with Author Janis Heaphy Durham. Kafe Kerouac hosts Brooklyn shoegaze/folk duo Mountain Animation. Catch Over the Edge this week at Short North Stage.

    Visit Glass Axis for their 8th annual sale and workshops, Friday through Sunday. Columbus Craft Beer Week begins, there are events happening all over the city. The Central Ohio Folk Festival begins and goes through Sunday, at Battelle Darby Creek Metropark. BalletMet celebrates American Masters, Friday through Sunday at The Ohio Theatre. The Bexley Public Library is holding a massive book sale. The Wilds opens. Hills Market Downtown hosts a wine tasting of 10 wines for $10. Enjoy a private performance of Opera at The Refectory. Daryl Hall & John Oates perform at Lifestyle Communities Pavilion. CATCO is Kids presents HONK at the Shedd Theatre. See Reckless at Shadowbox Live. The Garden Theater hosts Rolodex of Hate. Take a group of friends to The Chamber Escape Room. Lindsay Gallery hosts an opening reception for Man, Myth & Magic, art by Andrea Joyce Heimer. Jazz Arts Group brings the music of Maria Schneider to the stage in their season finale, Big Band Evolution.

    It’s Free Comic Book Day! The Columbus Zoo reopens Heart of Africa. Are you running the Capital City 5K, Half Marathon, or Quarter Marathon? Gallery Hop is at the Short North, park easy at the Hubbard Mastery School and help the school raise funds. There are cleanups happening at: OTE Neighborhood Garden, Olentangy River, and Elliott Alley. Raise money for the Franklin County Dog Shelter by shopping gently used purses and jewelry. Learn about birds at the Sawmill Wetlands. Pinchflat hosts two shows, check it out at Wild Goose Creative (noon-5pm) and at Paradise Garage (6-11pm). The Oddfellows Patio has their Grand Opening. Zauber Brewing hosts Maifest. Watch The Kentucky Derby, or attend a Derby Day party. The Sean Christopher Gallery hosts artists under the theme Funhouse. Hills Worthington has a wine tasting event.
