    Mega Fall Weekend 2014 – Vol. 10

    Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! If you are cooking, enjoy! If you are going out, enjoy! You can still enter to win tickets to The Head and The Heart. We’re giving you your weekend list a day early so you can plan your weekend! Here are a couple of new recipe ideas if you want to change it up this year.     Are you doing the Flying Feather 5K? Here’s some restaurants that are open Thanksgiving Day. Take Columbus Underground’s Best of 2014 survey! Otherwise, enjoy the day!

    Friday
    Lots of Black Friday deals are happening around the city! Shop the Short North and the first 1,000 shoppers at 10 participating businesses will receive a limited edition Gallery Hop tote. Mary B’s is incorporating a karaoke contest into their specials. Our Holiday Shopping Guide has started. The Huntington Holiday Train has set up at the Main Library. It’s the final weekend to see Fugitive Songs, and trust me, you will love this show, make sure you see it! A Christmas Carol opens at CAPA at the Ohio Theatre and shows all of Thanksgiving Weekend. Easton has all of its holiday lights going, as does the Zoo. The Topiaries have also been lit with sparkling lights. Condado tacos has opened in the Short North. Columbus Area Boardgaming Society has an After Turkey Day Game Fest. Merry & Bright continues at Franklin Park Conservatory. CBJ take on the Canucks. Holiday Hoopla continues at Shadowbox Live throughout the weekend. Rusko is at the Bluestone. GROOVE celebrates their 3 year anniversary at Exile. Playhouse plays some jazz at Brothers Drake. Zanzibar hosts Los Potosinos for a Mexican food and music night.

    Saturday
    Not shopped out? Find more deals during Small Business Saturday. OSU Football takes on Michigan at the Horseshoe. Here’s discussion if you want to talk about it. The Pizzuti Collection is hosting a free family day and kids receive sketchbooks! See Transfigurations at the Wexner Center. German Village Meeting Haus hosts the Central Ohio Watercolor Society Member Show. T.Y. Fine Furniture in Merion Village hosts a Chamber Music show. Scrooge opens at Shadowbox Live.

    Monday – Learn how you can help create better opportunities for boys and young men of color. A Reason to Dine raises funding for HIV/AIDS in Central Ohio, many restaurants are participating. Cyber Monday deals! Do you have tickets to the sold out CD102.5 Holiday Show? CBJ has a game. Holiday Rawk art show is at Shadowbox Live. And Tuesday is now Giving Tuesday if you want to spend with non-profits.
