    Mega Fall Weekend 2014 – Vol. 1

    Happy Weekend! Looks like we’ll have another beautiful weekend for some outdoor hiking! BESA’s Diaper Drive continues, drop ’em off at The Candle Lab stores. Tickets for the Kahiki Historical Dinner Club patio party are on sale now, don’t miss this event!     Thursday
    Tonight, head to Crimson Cup Coffee’s Clintonville Cafe for their Dry Hopped Nitro Cold-Brew Coffee Release Party during their Oktoberfest celebration. CATCO has opened Forever Plaid and the show is getting so much attention, it’s already extended its run! BalletMet, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and the Opera come together for the unique performance Twisted. NoBo on Long Condos has an Open House. Check out ReStart at Brothers Drake for some great house music. Burlesque Biographie continues at Shadowbox Live. The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley continue at the Columbus Childrens Theatre. See George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic at the LC. Go on a Prohibition Style Historic Tavern Tour. KickStart Columbus presents SharkMeet. It’s the final weekend for Blooms & Butterflies at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Studio 35 hosts a free viewing of Nosferatu with some special brews. The reception for 25 On High, a virtual trip on High Street is tonight at the OSU Urban Arts Space. Have you had a chance to check out Transfigurations.

    Attend the Four Roses Bourbon dinner at The Kitchen. Register to meet Adam Page and try sled hockey. The OSU Symphony features Orlay Alonso on piano. Get in the Halloween mood at Shadowbox with Freak Show. COSI has their Family Friday Night. Raise money for coral reef preservation. See comic documentary Root Hog or Die at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library. See The Skeleton Twins. Grange Insurance Audubon Center presents Bands, Birds, and Beer. Wolf’s Ridge Brewing is turning one and having a weekend celebration. The Manhattan Short Film Festival begins at Grandview Theatre. The 49th Annual Oktoberfest begins and will be at the Ohio Expo Center all weekend. Exile has house music with GROOVE.

    Scary Plants opens at the Franklin Park Conservatory, watch a Venus Fly Trap in action! Ohio Art League puts on the Ohio Made craft show at Ohio Village. The Ohio Renaissance Festival continues. 400 Farmers Market continues. Girls, Gags, and Giggles takes over the Shrunken Head. OSU takes on the Cincinnati Bearcats in the ‘Shoe. Not going to the game? Tailgate in the South Campus Gateway. Head out for the Grandview Hop. The Dude Locker hosts Columbus Psych Fest 2. See the Columbus Crew battle the Montreal Impact. Recycle and find new materials at ZEROLandfill. PotatoStock 2014 takes over Columbus Commons. 20’s party SWANK returns to the Garden Theatre. Head to the Tree Bar for Trial Run 2. Long Street Studios hosts the 10th Annual GloryFest. Granville’s Chili Cookoff returns for another year. HOOT is at the Gateway Film Center. Chalk the Block returns to Easton Town Center, Saturday and Sunday. The last outdoor movie of the year is in Groveport and it’s The Jungle Book.

    Sunday
    Shadowbox Live opens a remake of Evo, their original Off-Broadway rock ‘n’ roll carnival. It’s the final Bosco Flea of the season, go check it out and score some vintage goods. Fuse Factory hosts an open house at It Looks Like Its Open. The Harrison West Jazz Stage presents the Tony Monaco Trio. Bar 145 is asking you to come create the burger of your dreams. Market Flea continues at North Market. Have you taken a look a the Bell Tower yet? Go on the Tour de Highland West. CityMusic begins their season at Mozart’s with saxophonist Ashu. The Chamber Music Series continues in Merion Village. If you are attending The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, sign up for their Grand Sundae party presented by Handel’s.
