    Mayor Coleman to Officiate a Dozen Same-Sex Marriages

    Next Saturday, July 11th, the City of Columbus will be celebrating The Supreme Court’s Marriage Equality Ruling with the Vowed & Proud Ceremony, and event where 12 same sex couples will be married by Mayor Michael B. Coleman. Anyone interested in participating in the event can submit a short story and photo via email to [email protected] by 11:59pm July 6, 2015. Couples must obtain a valid marriage license, which can be done through the Franklin County Probate Court.

    The 12 couples who are selected will be selected and notified on July 7th and the event takes place on July 11th from Noon to 2pm on the steps outside of Columbus City Hall.
