Anyone planning on hitting the Short North tonight for Gallery Hop? The warm weather coupled with the Arnold Sports Festival means that the streets will be filled with activity. Might be a bit tough, but if you can manage to find some patio seating somewhere then tonight could officially be the first big “people watching” night of the year.
Oh, and if you’re one of those types who still go to Gallery Hop to take in the art and culture then there is plenty for you too. The Ric Ocasek show is opening up at the Mahan Gallery, the 83 Gallery is showing off plenty of local artwork, and Rivet’s got a show featuring the work of Luke Feldman & Shannon Bonatakis. More gallery shows can be found listed at ShortNorth.org.

The UFC fight is tonight also
Get Out and Spend Columbus!!!
Eventhough times are tough just come out for a drink or two and maybe a app.. Support your favorite Short North stop and maybe find a new one in the process. The weather is great and we could all stand a nice walk down High Street.
I finally tried Rad Dogs for the first time tonight and I found the name to be rather apt. Rad Dogs is indeed rad, dog.
It is a mad house out on High. Great times.
I honestly thought that the awesome weather would shrink the attendance at the Pizza Grand Prix. Glad to see this was not the case. Sounds like a lot of people were headed to the Short North for the “after hours”. ;)
Gallery Hop was pretty cool tonight. It was crazy to see that many people on the streets in March! I really wish the stores were open later than 10 on nights like this.
Honestly, I was headed home downtown earlier today and was disappointed to see certain stores closed today at 2pm. “Rolls” for example, near the corner of Long & High… (might not be the business that most carb-shy fitness-enthusiasts are looking for on a Saturday morning/afternoon)… but with all of the hundreds of thousands of extra people downtown today and all of the foot traffic I saw… I can’t imagine it would be a bad move to set up some special weekend hours during an event such as this.
Am I missing something?
