Main Street Wellness to Open Yoga and Massage Studio in Reynoldsburg

“Yoga and massage. They go together so well.” When Andrea Ramsey moved to Reynoldsburg from Phoenix, she knew that she wanted to unite massage and yoga in her own local small business. Main Street Wellness, located at 7339 Main St. opens this Saturday, September 17.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Ramsey knows how much stress is stored in a body. She used a variety of yoga classes in Arizona to relax and stay fit. The idea of having a yoga studio pairs so well with massage.

“Out West, many yoga studios have massage therapy,” says Ramsey. “It seems natural.”

Ramsey has assembled many enthusiastic young teachers, such as Susan Marsh, who teach a variety of traditional yoga classes, as well as a class conducted in Spanish.

“It’s a bit of an experiment, but I want to see how it will go,” she says.

Main Street Wellness includes classes for parents and children. There’s a class for kids on Wednesdays. If it takes off, she might add more kid-parent classes.

“Reynoldsburg is such a nice community, and the chamber has been doing great things out here,” says Ramsey. “I love the area here and thought it needed a place for yoga and massage. I looked for space for awhile and with this one, I didn’t have to do anything to it at all. It was studio ready.”

With its sunny yellow walls and a springy wooden floor, Main Street Wellness is a very inviting place to practice yoga. The massage studio is a quiet room in the back of the space.

Reynoldsburg has created an upscale streetscape with custom street lighting, attractive sidewalks, and a historic mural. A new patio restaurant, Prost Beer and Wine Cafe, has curated some fabulous brews from Yellow Springs to Salt Lake City, and an upcoming expansion of the traditional Vick’s Pizza are the makings of a nice downtown mecca.

One of Andrea’s passions is pregnancy massage. She has completed the usual curriculum and clinical work to become a licensed massage therapist, and has special studies in prenatal massage. One of the most satisfying things she does is help moms-to-be relax and feel well.

With a cute boutique yoga studio, relaxing massage space, and the amenities of Reynoldsburg’s downtown, Main Street Wellness is a nice place to relax and hang out.

“My mission is to make everyone feel welcomed and better when they leave,” Says Ramsey. “I hope to be a place of comfort in the community.”
