LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics opens new store at Easton

By: Anne

If you went to Easton over the weekend, you may have noticed the addition of another new store. LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics opened on Saturday, re-entering the Columbus market after their store inside of Macy’s at Tuttle Crossing closed in May of this year.

“We always knew we would be relocating within the Columbus market,” said Brandi Halls, LUSH North American Communications Director. “It was never about leaving our loyal fans, but instead about offering them the ultimate LUSH experience which we think we have achieved at LUSH Easton.”

The new LUSH store currently has 13 people on staff and has plans to go up to 30 or so for the holiday season.

The 579 square foot store at Easton is the first stand-alone shop in Columbus for the “upbeat British brand of ethical and innovative bath, body, skin and hair care.”

The brand has a charity component as well and has selected Local Matters as the Columbus beneficiary. With every purchase of Charity Pot, a cream made of “fair trade organic cocoa butter, floral essential oils and a deliciously chocolatey fragrance,” LUSH donates 100% of the price, minus the taxes, to the Charity Pot Fund and then distributes the funds across the selected groups.

  • Lush is a very cool shop if you are into lotions and potions! It is kind of a rip off of how the Body Shop used to be when they first opened and Anita Roddick, the founder, ran things. The products are wonderful, but very pricey, so save your money. Excited to stock up on some Lush goodies; however,I hope this store doesn’t run the Body Shop out of Easton. They have some great products too; however, the BS company (which Loreal bought after Roddick passed away) has done nothing in recent years to revamp or get back to it’s roots.

  • Do a little research and you will find that the founders of Lush actually created many of the products that The Body Shop sold. Makes sense that some people would enjoy products from both stores.

  • I usually avoid Easton, but would make a special trip there just for Lush!

  • Fell head over heels in love with LUSH some time ago! So happy the store reopened at Easton. Now, it’s close to home! :)
