Local Entrepreneurs Resume Chipotle Delivery

By: Walker

Back in May, we announced the launch of a local business that would deliver piping-hot Chipotle burritos throughout Columbus. The business was shut down three days later after Chipotle asked them to cease and desist. But it looks as if a mutual agreement as been reached between the two companies, and business at DeliverMyBurrito.com is resuming effective immediately.

Delivery charges range from $5 to $20 depending on your order size, and delivery time is said to be within 30 minutes. Delivery locations include Downtown, German Village, OSU Campus Area, Reynoldsburg, Dublin, Gahanna, Westerville, Worthington, and Polaris.

  • In before Chipotlaway comment.

  • wait…i have to pay 20 dollars so i dont have to get my ass off the couch to get a GIANT burrito that will make my ass that much bigger…shouldnt we be promoting walking to chipotle to eat our 985 calories? I don’t even get cheese or sour cream…..anyway, just sayin..

  • uuhhhggggg…. Another place that delivers everywhere except Franklinton and the Hilltop, WTF
Were close but apparently not worth the effort. I wonder if they will add them. Doubt it

  • seems to me all of these area mentioned have a chipotle in that neighborhood. I think we would have to get a them to open a location over here in order for them to think of delivery.

  • There are MANY days where I’d pay a million dollars to have hot Chipotle at my door without having to stand in their ridiculous lines! Five dollars is NOTHING. Misskitty, I’d say that if business started booming, they’d start adding more locations, so everyone, ORDER CHIPOTLE DELIVERY, so everyone in Columbus can benefit!!!

  • Glad to see they got it worked out.  I can see Chipotle Friday turning into “I refuse to get out in the cold, someone bring me (and my coworkers) Chipotle Friday” very soon :)

  • efilsitra Says: wait…i have to pay 20 dollars…

Only if your order is $100 or more. An order of less than $50 only has a $5 delivery charge.

  • The arena location is only five minuets away though :(
I guess I will get over it I should not be that lazy.
Maybe someday people will deliver to us too! :D

  • I’m with you misskitty.  I would just be happy to have a Chipotle location here on the Hill.

  • I never been to a Chipotle when the line has been so outrageous that I would pay $5 to skip it.

Also, I don’t know if I’m in the minority but Chipotle tastes 100x better when I eat in. Something about it just doesn’t hold up very well if you get it to go (and have it sit around 10 minutes before eating)

  • I’m not a big user of delivery services, but I can see this coming in handy when there’s a couple of inches of snow on the ground and the Chipotle craving has set in. ;)

  • geez, fast food delivered to your door?
I’m with efilsitra , it’s bad enough that I have driven to the Wendy’s two blocks away.  Just put the liposuction machine in reverse and jam an IV in me.

  • Tenzo Says: geez, fast food delivered to your door?

Seriously, what’s next? Pizza? Chinese food? YEEEEESH!

  • I have never used a 3rd party delivery service before… are you supposed to tip on top of the delivery fee?

  • I tried to use the service today but they screwed it up and hadn’t delivered it two hours after I had ordered online.  They said because Chipotle noted on Facebook that they were now doing delivery that people from all over the country were calling when they are only doing delivery now just in Columbus and that they were swamped.

Be very careful about using this service until they get it figured out how to manage the Chipotle nation.

  • No delivery to The Trots either.

The black cloud coming out of the back of the truck on their website isn’t so appetizing.

  • Can’t believe no has mentioned those bloody underwear stains yet.

[quote]UPDATE: Asked Chipotle what they thought of last night’s episode, but the company’s rep didn’t take the bait and over-react like one always hopes when asking corporations for a comment on this sort of thing. Here’s the fast food chain’s perfectly reasonable response:

Being spoofed on South Park certainly says something about our popularity with that audience, but we didn’t have anything to do with the content. Some people will find it funny, others will not. But ultimately, being part of the pop culture conversation is probably a good thing.

  • Wow. That is a smooth answer. Nice to see a PR person actually earning their money.
