    Which makes me bitter.

Why would you boycott them? It’s not there fault Little Brothers closed their doors? They are just trying to run a succesfull club.

    Exactly!!

Best of luck to this new venture. I can see this club holding many a live band. Rockin in the streets can happen on a weekly basis with a bar/venue like this! :D

  • I think it is awesome! At first I thought it was a strip club….I am so happy to hear it is for lesbians…that is awesome. If they have house/techno I am there!!!

If they had any self respect, they’d not change a damn thing and re-open as Little Brothers, IMHO.

LOL if you will, or even ROFL or WTF but IMO its Little Brothers FTW.

  • I would not boycott this place, I do not want this girl coming after me:

  • You guys act like there aren’t any good-looking, regular lesbians out there!

Pretty lesbians are everywhere. The great thing is you can’t tell who we are until you see us kissing a girl, and even THEN it’s assumed that we’re just two straight girls kissing.

That said, my partner and I have VIP passes to Liquid’s opening. Might just check it out.

Cool. Give us a report if you make it out. :D

  • I saw a post to the Italian Village Yahoo group about the noise level being really bad. Anyone know if it was comparable to when Little Brothers was there?

It’s less boycotting them and the owner of the building-Stelios G. Gianaopoulos- who they will be paying the raised rent that he used to drive Dan Dougan out. It’s just business I guess, but then my business to not cater to anyone that is giving him any money.

i have to agree with ya on that. one of my very close friends of many years is a lesbian and she is very beautiful. here is a lil tip for a lot of people, there are beautiful lesbians everywhere you go. the woman you are looking at and you are thinking, “damn, she looks good”, could be a lesbian. you never know who is who until they make it known.

i don’t know why we have haters but what would the world be w/out them? Like i said before, i hope the club does well. good luck to the new owners.

yeah. i was pretty appalled that Ashland thinks that posting that picture was an appropriate thing to do. but whatever.

thanks for standing up for the truth and equality.

I know I am going to get a lot of the “you knew when you bought a place right behind Little Brothers that it would be loud, so stop bitching” comments – BUT – Liquid is really ridiculously loud. I live directly behind it, literally could throw a rock and hit it, and Liquid is definitely louder that Little Brothers.

I’ve also notice that Saturday night I couldn’t find a parking spot within 2 blocks of my house and the alley was filled with people parking illegally.

I guess I am sort of in the wait and see mode – its the opening weekend so maybe it will get better. If not I guess I will be pretty bitter about having a new loud neighbor that could reduce my property value by constantly throwing parties I’m not invited to just because I’m a dude.

  • Yeah, I’d say give it a month. I’m willing to bet the opening crowd will die down a bit. ;)

  • I did not originally post that picture.

  • Ashland wrote I did not originally post that picture.

    Of course you didn’t.

You are the clique’s whipping boy du jour.

(Oh…don’t look for an apology or a “CDS Sherman is a thoughtless prick” anytime soon. He’s ‘in’…you ain’t)

I’ve been there too…hang in there, brah ;) There will soon be another who dares to rile the group…and they’ll accuse him/her of the unspeakable things we get from time to time lol

Back on topic: am I reading the basic premise of this club as “Portia derossi, come on in!” and then the velvet rope keeps Ellen D the hell out??

I can’t imagine a special-interest bar would lock out…um…99% of their potential clients.

    Hopefully I’m reading wrong…

    oh, my bad. totally.

I think Ellen Degeneres would be fun. She’s a good dancer, at least. If it were my lesbian nightclub, I’d let her in.

They offered more money to the landlord of Little Brother’s. So technically, they did drive LBs out. LBs didn’t just ‘close their doors.’

    People forget so quickly.

Blaming any opinions you don’t like on “a clique” is probably the easiest scapegoat I’ve seen anyone use in a long long time.

I’d like to see Ashland and you both show up to the Meetup on Tuesday. A good time will be had by all. :D

  • Where is the meetup Tuesday?
