Kitamu Coffee in Hilliard Closing its Doors

After nearly seven years in business, local cafe Kitamu Coffee is closing its doors at 3221 Hilliard Rome Rd. in Hilliard. Founder Mo Muhidin opened the shop in late 2010, providing a space for Hilliard residents to not only grab coffee, but also as a place for entertainment, live music and more.

On Saturday, July 29, Kitamu is hosting a Farewell Show, featuring Corey Chapman, Katie Fischer, Ruth Buergenthal, Threat level Midnight, Frankie Soleil and Time out.

“As sad as we are to be letting go of the coffee shop, we are very happy that it had such an impact on the musical youth in the area,” posted Muhidin on the cafe’s Facebook page. “This last show is not just about saying goodbye, it is also about celebrating the many memories that have been made within its walls.”
