Karate Cowboy Releases New Ginger Mint Flavor

Columbus-based Revolution Spirits has launched a new spring flavor from their Karate Cowboy line: ginger mint.

Karate Cowboy, at its base, is a potent blend of white whiskey and sake. The east-meets-west fusion flavor profile goes down easy as a shot, as well as a bold cocktail mixer.

The newest flavor, Karate Cowboy Ginger Mint, features a spring-ready combination of crisp, sharp ginger and cooling mint. Ginger Mint comes after the initial release of Karate Cowboy’s first flavor: sweet and spicy Honey Wasabi.

Karate Cowboy got its start when co-founder Mark Tinus was still in New York. He was working for Annheuser-Busch, who then moved him to the East Coast to 2006 where he worked in brewing, sales and marketing strategy, and marketing directing. He moved back to the Midwest with his wife in January 2014, and got business up and running. They went full-time with Karate Cowboy in March 2015, with product hitting the market in October 2015.

The brand is expanding its footprint throughout Columbus rapidly, with further state-wide distribution currently in the works for summer. Additionally, Tinus has a third Karate Cowboy flavor in the works.

Karate Cowboy is now widely available in Columbus bars and liquor stores.
