A 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament doubleheader will be coming to Crew Stadium on Tuesday, July 7th. The tournament pits the top international sides from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean against each other. Following another outstanding U.S. v Mexico match in February, this is a reaffirmation that Crew Stadium remains a top soccer stadium in the U.S.
No matchups were announced and while the United States is playing in the tournament, they will probably play in a bigger venue or one closer to their home base in Los Angeles. More information about the Gold Cup can can be found at the CONCACAF Gold Cup site. The full list of teams in the Gold Cup follows:
- Canada
- Costa Rica
- Cuba
- El Salvador
- Grenada
- Guadeloupe
- Honduras
- Jamaica
- Mexico
- Nicaragua
- Panama
- United States

I know last year the Crew had a few exhibition matches too. Well probably see more of those this year, right?
