Indie House Collective Opens in Olde Towne East
Indie House Collective, a creative based coworking studio located on 65 Parsons Ave, is officially open for business! What makes Indie House so unique and different from other coworking establishments is the focus placed on “creative based work”, and the services offered not only to its residents, but to potential clients.
“My goal is to offer experienced, freelance designers, marketing/PR pros, photographers and web-designers a creative atmosphere to work in and service their clients, and to also bring new clients and work to the residents of Indie House,” said Anthony Dempsey, owner and creator of Indie House. “My hope is for companies to view Indie House as an alternative to their creative and marketing needs by cutting out the middle man, and introducing them to experienced professionals and providing quality agency services at a much lower cost than most ad agencies.”
The residents of Indie House will set their own rates and “bid” on work that evolves from collaboration and is cultivated by Dempsey through various forms of business development. “By doing this companies will receive not only better service, but cheaper rates without the mark-ups, and the residents will gain new clients“, said Dempsey. “My job is to be the main promoter for the residents and offer a more cost effective solution to their creative needs.”
Indie House Collective is located in Old Towne East and is very easy to access from Rt. 70 and Rt. 71. The space is divided into two studios, creative and executive, and rental rates range from $200 a month to $475 a month, with special rates offered to students. There is free parking to residents and visiting clients, along with access to a think tank lounge, private conference room, web hosting, WiFi, data storage, printers and many other amenities.
For more information on becoming a resident at Indie House or to request creative services, please contact Anthony Dempsey at (614) 323-4712, or visit the website at www.workindie.com.

That is a really cool building on the corner of Oak & Parsons. I actually looked at the loft apartment on the top floor a few years ago. If the floor where this new coworking space is similar in layout it should be a pretty cool spot to work.
Plus, it’s nice that it’s only 3 blocks from home. ;)

@Walker .. it is the same layout. The only difference is there is another section on the other side for private offices, there are glass wall dividers and the space is a little more open. :)

I’d like to add that in addition to coworking communities here in Columbus (Indie House Collective, Sandbox) we also have a community workshop, called the Idea Foundry:

For monthly memberships, you can come in to use the woodworking tools, metal working tools, welding station, CNC equipment, internet classroom, electronics lab, silk screening, and more.
