Independents’ Day Returns to Celebrate Local Music and More

If you’re a fan of local music, then get ready to get your fill this weekend at the annual Independents’ Day celebration. This year marks the first time the event will be held in Franklinton, though the format will be familiar for those who enjoyed the party on Gay Street in the past. Six indoor and outdoor stages will be located throughout the festival grounds to provide musical entertainment, with additional street food, local drinks, craft vendors, shipping containers, mini golf, whiffle ball, art displays, stand-up comedy, fashion shows and more.
