Image Optical’s Short North location is moving− but not very far.
The office and showroom will move from its current home at 846 N. High St. to 607 N. High St. (which was most recently occupied by Brigade) on June 1, just in time for Gallery Hop. A grand opening is slated for June 22.
“The new space is larger and will allow us to add exam rooms, as well as room for more inventory,” said Dr. Todd M. Clark, optometrist and owner of Image Optical, which specializes in unique eyeglass frames and offers full-scope optometric care, including contact lens services and treatment for eye disease and eye allergies.
“We try our best to carry products that are unique to the city,” he said. “One of the new collections is made of 97 percent recycled materials, and the collection that will be launched at the grand opening is from reclaimed wood from the Mississippi Delta.”
The new location will have the same hours, but they might be extended during evenings in the summer to allow cross-marketing with nearby restaurants for happy hour.
Image Optical’s first location opened in Westerville in 1999.
“While I was growing my Westerville location, I was seeing patients for the owner of the Short North location,” Clark said.
In 2002, he had the opportunity to purchase the business and both locations were rebranded as Image Optical.
“We are very excited for the move into our new location and to continue to serve our loyal Short North followers,” Clark said.
Hours of operation are Tues.-Fri.: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sat.: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
