Valentine’s Day is nearing! How will you celebrate this year? With it being on a Saturday, you should make your dinner reservations early if you would like to go out. Here are some different themed date ideas we put together.
For an artsy day, start your day off with the classes at Glass Axis. They are running specials for two people to make sculpted hearts and pulled glass flowers. After you’ve made your glass creations, head down the street to Junctionview Studios for the I heART art show. Go to Haiku for an early dinner and then off to the Wexner Center for chelfitsch.
For more of a romantic day, start your afternoon with a massage at Studio 33 Salon and Spa. Then head to Pistacia Vera or Yosick’s for a sweet snack and take a stroll through German Village’s Frank Fetch Park or Schiller Park as you head to dinner at Barcelona, one of Columbus’ most romantic restaurants. They have already gotten some reservations for Valentine’s Day but they are not full yet!
For a more relaxing day, plan a meal at home. Go to the North Market earlier in the day and purchase whatever you think sounds delicious and maybe some flowers too. When you get home, make some homemade marshmallows for later at night. Enjoy your dinner and then head to the OSU ice rink for some ice skating in the evening. Go home to watch a movie and drink hot chocolates topped with your marshmallows!
