The business, known for accumulating a lengthy line of hungry, Nashville hot chicken-craving customers, currently operates out of the North Market and a seasonal food truck. In January they revealed their expansion plans, using 2016 market research to target Clintonville for their first stand-alone restaurant.

ā€œThis opportunity allows us to serve an even broader cross-section of our community and positions us well for growth and impact,ā€ said DeLoss in a press release.

Customer enthusiasm for Hot Chicken Takeover ultimately influenced Easton Gateway executives to pursue the restaurant, said Easton Chief Executive Jennifer Peterson.

ā€œWe admire the business and like our customers, we love the chicken,ā€ she said.

The new store will open at 4198 Worth Avenue, date to be announced.
