Hot Chicken Takeover Launches Food Truck

Hot Chicken Takeover officially celebrated its one-year anniversary on March 9th, and this weekend the business will launch its third inception in the form of a mobile food truck. Owner (and head fryer) Joe DeLoss dropped the news back in September that a food truck was in the works, and after a winter of working on the conversion of a vehicle, mobile Hot Chicken is ready to roll.

“Because of everyone who supported our Kickstarter campaign, we’re able to roll out our HCT Truck this Saturday for the first time,” said DeLoss. “Our first event is at the Mapfre Stadium (formerly Crew Stadium) this Saturday for their opening game.”

DeLoss said that the new management for food and drinks services has made it a point to integrate more local businesses into the lineup for this season at the stadium.

“One of our friendly customers made an intro that led to the deal,” he said. “We’ve got unbelievable customers.”

The staff at Hot Chicken Takeover will work to balance their current North Market location’s regular hours with what they anticipate to be a busy launch to the food truck on Saturday. As always, the business posts updates on chicken inventory to social media, so that customers will know when they’re getting close to selling out for the day.
