Hot Chicken Takeover Launching Summer Neighborhood Tour

If you’ve ever wished Hot Chicken Takeover’s cayenne-infused fried chicken was closer to you, wish no longer; they’re currently planning a neighborhood pop-up tour throughout Columbus this summer.

HCT will pop-up its mobile restaurant on Tuesday and Wednesday nights across Central Ohio, starting in June. The tour is set to begin in Olde Towne East, where HCT first got its start serving at Oak Street’s Near East Co-Op in 2014. After Olde Towne East, they’ll move around to neighborhoods determined by votes cast on the Hot Chicken Takeover Website. Tour stops will be announced June 1, with voting ending on May 8.

Each stop will have a full HCT set-up, including their brand-new Kickstarter supported food truck, tents, and tables. The new truck has been on the move for a few weeks now, appearing at several community events and Crew games at Mapfre Stadium. In addition to serving their popular chicken, HCT will partner with a different community outreach organization in each neighborhood.
