Today’s the only acceptable day of the year to get sick on eating too much candy, wear a completely ridiculous costume, and watch movies that will give you nightmares. So you might as well make the most of it!
Thousands will be descending upon the Short North for the Highball, a party-in-the-street masquerade that will feature live music, fashion shows, and more. There’s also big parties going on tonight at Mynt, Sugar, and pretty much every other venue in town. It’s also not too late to scope out some of the local Haunted Houses.
With temperatures approaching 70 degrees today and staying above 50 well into the night, you can be guaranteed that this will be one of the biggest Halloween weekends in Columbus of the past few years. Have fun!

I somehow don’t mind getting the shakes from eating 7 fun sized Butterfingers, buring off my tastebuds on 12 packages of sourpatch kids, shredding my tongue on Jolly Ranchers or getting TMJ from chewing the gum inside Blow Pops.
I’m not really big on sweets, but apparently my workplace has a candy buffet this afternoon.
I expect this to be nothing less than awesome.

One of my dearest girlfriends recieved a marriage proposal this morning!!!!! YAY for her—they both love Halloween! It is a great great day!!!! They are the best couple too….he is a magificent and known chef and she is a fabulous soloist!!! YAY!
Does anyone else love the juxtaposition of the Highball Halloween party in the Short North and the McCain/Schwarzenegger rally at Nationwide as much as I do?
Almost as good as having the Gay Pride parade winding thru the NHL draft weekend.
Makes outsiders think Columbus is a little more radical that we are, but that’s fine by me!
I was wandering why Frog Bear was having their Halloween bash tomorrow night instead of tonight. I guess it makes sense so that the political sophisticates don’t get scared off by the costumed drunkin wackjobs.
