What is Drive Score?
Drive Score shows a map of what establishments are in a property’s neighborhood and calculates a Drive Score based on the number of places within a convenient driving distance. With Drive Score, buyers can see how close establishments are by car. Homes are often located in an area where restaurants, libraries, grocery stores, hospitals and other businesses are easier to get to by car than on foot.
How it works:
The greater number of businesses nearby, the higher the Drive Score. It is really very important for home buyers to be aware of nearby infrastructure to make their choice. This option will enable home buyers make searches with much more confidence. Directions are available by clicking on any icon shown on the map.

What is Drive Score?

*83*
My WalkScore is currently 71 thanks to nearby independent coffee shops, restaurants, and art institutions.
My DriveScore is currenly 86 thanks to four Starbucks within 2.5 miles, four Home Depots within 9 miles, and the Victoria’s Secret at Easton.
Uhm… thanks DriveScore???
That is funny
83, but Twin Valley Behavioral Health counts as a hospital
I accidentally entered my address, but did it with out entering the city and state and it gave me 95 E. 1st Ave in Denver!?
So I did it again and the results were really bad. The places that it spit out sounded like a list of places that an out-of-towner would tell somebody about visiting Columbus. It also said the bus station is at 11th and Wright?
77
I’m 1.83 miles from a railway station. I had no idea! (The hobby store on Indianola (Train Station) is listed as a railway station.) I have to drive to Home Depot at Cleveland and 270 but there’s no mention of the Lowes within walking distance. Who sponsors this site, BP?
My walk score is 72 – I’ll just keep walking!

Ah-ha! I wondered about that.
Airport is an FFA office.
School misses numerous ones closer.
Stars? Peter Viereck 1.36 Mi
Rotislav Klesla 1.49 Mi
Alexandre Picard 1.49 Mi
Michael Murray 1.71 Mi
Missed closer gas stations. Walmart is some sub-office.
Dopey.

Wow – DriveScore of 95.
Things look pretty correct too. What’s with the “Stars” category though? Famous people or something? It also lists “Train Station” for me as the closest railway, and doesn’t know about a closer library (Worthington Park Library just recently opened).
*shrug*
Funny site, weird listing choices.
My DriveScore is 88. It did, however, say that the nearest gas station is 1.83 miles from my house, despite the fact that I literally live behind a gas station.
Also, regardless of my score of 88, I do not feel my location is very close to most places I normally need to drive to.
My Walk Score was 83, even though I feel my location is highly walkable. Also I found the Walk Score to be much more accurate at locating the closest businesses and not including ones that are out of business.
Walking FTW!
*82* but i would rather ride the cycle…more fun
mine was 84 but
Victoria’s Secret 2.81 Mi < WHere ? lol I missed it

Uhm… thanks DriveScore???
My WS=71 and DS=83. Just for kicks, I tried my old address in NYC: WS=98 (sweet!) and DS=85. So the DriveScore isn’t always higher, and not because it recognizes crazy New York traffic. Walker, you’re onto something… Manhattan needs a Walmart and a 100 more Starbucks.
Current Walk Score: 68
Current Drive Score: 89
Walk Score of most promising house I’ve viewed: 86
Drive Score of same: 89
Weinland Park has an 82 drive score and 85 walking score.
Now if there was just a streetcar score we could dominate in that too. :D
The odd priorities this site designates as what constitutes a “good” neighborhood are a little boggling. Is it really THAT important to have a Victoria’s Secret close by? Do people regularly go on emergency underwear excursions?
I probably shouldn’t ask that, should I?
hehe. these are always fun.
my walk score is 0 (zero) and my drive score is 40.
… but my covered wagon score is off the charts!
