One of the first operations to move into the Arena District, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant is still one of the best examples of the trend of serving real food in a bar or publike setting — a setting that also happens to brew beers and ales.

Going well beyond traditional bar food, the varied menu boasts plenty of house-made items.

Gordon Biersch has become a place where diners can go for the beer and stay for the food.

  • eh….eaten there once or twice. Nothing super impressive. It’s not on my list of favorite places to go.

  • I had a burger there one time, and I thought it was delicious. So if you go, get a burger!

  • The food is decent. I’ll give a tip of the cap to the garlic fries. HEAVY on the garlic!

    IMO the beer is just average. It’s nowhere near as good as CBC, The Elevator or Barley’s.
