Frontier Airlines announced today the launch of new service to and from Port Columbus. The news means that nonstop flights will be available to Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando and Philadelphia, beginning this summer.
“Port Columbus is thrilled that Frontier will once again be among the airlines providing quality air service to Central Ohio passengers,” said David Whitaker, VP of Business Development & Communications for the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. “Frontier will certainly contribute to the success and growth being experienced in the Columbus market.”
In November, airport officials reported that traffic was up 15% year-over-year.
Frontier Airlines is a discount carrier, known for low fares. To celebrate the expansion to Columbus, the airline is offering introductory rates as low as $19 for one-way tickets.
Cincinnati and Cleveland will also see expanded service through Frontier this year, with new nonstop routes to destinations across the US.
