The project, at 840 Michigan Ave., sits just to the north of the 140-unit Trotters Park apartment complex, which was completed in 2015.

Chad Seiber of Mulberry, the developer of the project, said that work should be wrapping up in early 2018.

“It’s a high-end rental building, mostly two-bedroom units with two parking spaces, and it’ll have a rooftop yoga/pilates studio for residents,” he said.

The building will also feature a corner commercial space that Sieiber said could accommodate a bar, restaurant or coffee house. Casto is handling the leasing of that ground floor space, which measures just under 1,900 square feet.

Work is also ongoing on Mulberry’s two Italian Village projects — the high-end 25 Jeffrey Park, and the Christopher, at 901 N. Fourth St., which will feature two-bedroom condominiums.
