Zip Line Canopy Tours in Hocking Hills

This sounds totally awesome! I can't wait to try it out! My wife did one of these tours in Nicaragua and loved it - anyone else have an experience?
Hocking Hills Canopy Tours
We will transport you along a 1.5 mile scenic nature trail to the beginning of the course where the Mighty Oak awaits your arrival. You will complete 10 ziplines, traverse 4 adventure skybridges and rappel back to ground level at the finish line.
Between each event, you will be able to enjoy the amazing views from the observation platforms while your guides point out various highlights/surroundings of the area/history/animals/vegetation.

I am scared of heights and this still sounds awesome. I wish there were more pictures on that site, though.

Since it's brand new, I bet they're waiting for some leaves on the trees before they outlay the expense of photography. My wife is terrified of heights, too, but she said this didn't bother her. Euphoria is stronger than fear.

I am somewhat scared of heights too, but I've done a couple zip line courses in the past and had so much fun. I'd love to try it again.

i did this in costa rica. its a lot of fun just make sure your harness isn't too tight. i thought i wasn't going to be able to have children after the tour was over.

once you get up the ladder onto the line you'll be fine, the zipping part is the best.

Nelson Rocks Via Feratta was a blast! I would be up for this. Here is a picture of the bridge of the Nelson Rock Via Ferrata. If anyone is ever down by Senneca Rocks, I would highly recomend it!

OK, the thought of ziplines doesn't bother me, but that bridge is a whole 'nother smoke. Were they short of lumber that day? Still I'd love to do this.

We went yesterday. I'm not a big fan of heights, but this was not a problem at all; it's amazing. You're all strapped in (2 times over), so you pretty much don't worry about anything. When you're not zipping, you'll be looking over the edges of the platforms, checking out birds and butterflies in the canopy. It's incredible. I can't wait to go back and do it again (I wish they had season passes!).

Tips if you go:
- take a camera (preferably a small one that you can tuck into a pocket).
- take enough (extra) cash to give your guides a tip at the end; they go out of their way to make it safe and fun.
- practice yelling "Bonzai!!!!"

The Hocking Hills Canopy tour had a sell out summer! If you missed it, though, you've got one more chance before next April. Because there was such high demand, they're open for weekday tours in October, and weekends only in November.
I kept trying to find time to do this during the summer, but never did before they sold out. I've got my slot for Columbus Day! I'll give a full report afterward.
